Advice and support for mothers, fathers, grandparents and other adults caring for children and young people.

Family Support Service

The Family Support Service provides intensive, practical support to families in their own homes as part of a six-month programme that aims to help them:

  • build resilience

  • set achievable goals

  • develop positive relationships.

Only professionals can refer you to the Family Support Service. If you want to find out more contact the Early Help Team at earlyhelp@lewisham.gov.uk or 020 8314 7333.

Parent Support Group

The Parent Support Group offers a range of services (including a helpline, drop-in sessions, counselling and residential workshops) to support parents in the Lewisham borough, particularly those with children who have behavioural difficulties.

Young fathers service

The young fathers service provides tailored family support to help fathers under 25 who live in the borough become more actively involved in the lives of their children.
