Lewisham Council - Assisted collection service

Assisted collection service

We provide an assisted collection service for people who are unable to take their bin to the kerbside because of disability or ill health.

If you are unable to take your bins to the kerbside, we will make arrangements for our refuse collectors to wheel your bin out for collection and return it after it has been emptied.

The service will only be provided if there is nobody in your household who is able to place or retrieve a wheelie bin from the boundary of your property. Checks may be carried out to ensure that we only provide this service to residents that need it.

How to apply

Please send a completed assisted collection form to:

Refuse and Recycling Operations
Wearside Service Depot
Wearside Road
SE13 7EZ.

Please put your door number on your bins as this helps our crews return the right bins to the right house.
