Crofton Park and Honor Oak Park Neighbourhood Forum and Area

The Mayor of Lewisham has designated Crofton Park and Honor Oak Park as a neighbourhood area and has also designated a neighbourhood forum for this area.

Referendum on a Neighbourhood Plan for Crofton Park and Honor Oak Neighbourhood Forum Area

A referendum on the Crofton Park and Honor Oak Park Neighbourhood Plan was held on Thursday 5 May 2022

People who live in the area were able to vote either in favour or against the proposed neighbourhood plan. This will affect how the Council will consider planning applications for Crofton Park and Honor Oak Park. The Neighbourhood Plan was created by members of the local community and outlines a number of projects related to community infrastructure and green spaces.

Declaration of Result of Poll

I, Kim Wright, being the Counting Officer at the referendum held on Thursday, 5th May 2022, DO HEREBY GIVE NOTICE of the following count information:

The total eligible electorate is 10,898
The total number of ballot papers received is 4,174
And the Turnout is 38.30%

Question: Do you want the London Borough of Lewisham to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Crofton Park and Honor Oak Park to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?

Yes votes = 3,272

No votes = 419

AND I HEREBY DECLARE that the electors voted YES in the referendum and the Crofton Park and Honor Oak Park Neighbourhood Plan has been approved.

The Mayor took this decision at the Mayor and Cabinet meeting on 16 July 2014. 

The forum is called the Crofton Park and Honor Oak Park Neighbourhood Forum.

The forum was successfully re-designated for a further 5-year period on 20 October 2021.

The Council with agreement from the Crofton Park and Honor Oak Neighbourhood Forum has appointed Deborah McCann BSc MRICS MRTPI Dip Arch Con Dip LD to undertake the examination for the Crofton Park and Honor Oak Neighbourhood Plan.

Crofton Park and Honor Oak Draft Plan Submission

Crofton Park and Honor Oak Neighbourhood Forum have submitted its proposed Neighbourhood Plan to Lewisham Council. The Council is now seeking views and comments on the draft plan from residents, business owners and other interested stakeholders.

The Regulation 16 consultation on the Crofton Park and Honor Oak Neighbourhood plan has now closed. This consultation ran between 15 March 2021 – 3 May 2021. 

Crofton Park and Honor Oak Neighbourhood Forum re-designation

The application to redesignate the Crofton Park and Honor Oak Neighbourhood forum has been approved. 

The Crofton Park and Honor Oak Neighbourhood Forum designation will run until 20 October 2025.

Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Screening and Habitats Regulation Assessment (HRA) Screening

The Council undertook an SEA screening and HRA screening of the draft Honor Oak Park and Crofton Park neighbourhood development plan which was published in October 2016.
