Admissions criteria for secondary schools

Find out what the admissions criteria are at schools across the borough.

If there are more applications to a school than places available, we use the schools' admissions policy to decide which children qualify for a place.

Schools that use the community schools' criteria

For admission in September 2019, we use the community schools’ criteria for the following schools:

  • Conisborough College
  • Deptford Green School
  • Forest Hill School
  • Sedgehill School
  • Sydenham School

Our pupils shine in tests for 11-year-olds

The percentage of 11-year-olds in in the borough achieving the expected standard by the end of Year 6 has improved for the second year in a row, according to provisional results released on 10 July.

Flying start for our youngest learners

Provisional results across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 assessments indicate that children in the borough are getting a great start to their education.
