Types of Be Active membership
Casual membership

When you register for Be Active you automatically get casual membership. See which leisure centres offer the scheme.

You can get either free access or a 25% discount off facilities. See who is eligible to find out which of these you are eligible for.
Renewing your casual membership

If you are getting benefits or studying in Lewisham, you must renew your membership every six months.

Otherwise you need to renew your membership every 12 months.

When you renew you must bring evidence that you are eligible for the scheme. See details of evidence needed..
Unlimited membership

Once you are a casual member, you can apply for unlimited membership.

This gives you unlimited use of all activities offered for around £5 a week.

This membership includes the pool, gym and exercise classes.
Unlimited membership costs

£23.50 at Downham Health & Leisure Centre.

Payments will be taken with direct debit.
Renewing and cancelling unlimited membership

You must renew your membership every three months.

You must give one month's notice for cancellation.
Unlimited membership is not available for carers.
