Parking permits for controlled parking zones

We operate a number of controlled parking zones (CPZs) in the borough. These are areas where parking is restricted or reserved for permit holders only.

All permits are issued by our parking services contractor, NSL Services, through RingGo online permits.

We have a responsibility to ensure that only residents or businesses living or working within a CPZ are issued with a permit to park their vehicle and therefore reserve the right to carry out random permit application checks at anytime.

You may be asked to produce documents to verify your eligibility when making your application. If the documents requested are not supplied, we may suspend or withdraw the application until the documents requested are received.

Visitor Permits

Our current policy is that upon application, a book of 10 one hour visitor parking permits will be provided free of charge to all households that currently have at least one paid for resident parking permit holder per annum. Also, upon application, a book of ten (1 hour) visitor parking permits will be provided free of charge to any residents in CPZs who are over 60, and in receipt of Council Tax support, and do not have another parking permit per annum.
