Beckenham Place Park

Beckenham Place Park is the largest green space in the borough, covering 98 hectares. It contains large areas of ancient woodland ideal for woodland walks.

About the park

The park is an important wildlife site. It also makes up part of the South East London Green Chain Walk and the regional Capital Ring. 

Improvement plans

Following our successful £4.9m bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund, there are major improvements planned for the park.

  • dog exercise
  • football pitch
  • sensory garden
  • toilets
  • tennis court
  • water feature.

Friends of Beckenham Place Park

The Friends of Beckenham Place Park arrange events in the park, including walks and talks.

For more information:

  • visit the Friends' visitor centre inside the Mansion on Sundays from 2–4pm

Children's play

At the eastern section of the park is a children's playground with a splash pad available during the summer months.

The park is patrolled by on-site park keepers.
