Sustainability appraisal scoping report

All local plans must be accompanied by a sustainability appraisal (SA), including a strategic environmental assessment (SEA), which assesses the economic, social and environmental impacts of a plan, and factors that can mitigate these impacts.
The scoping report is the first stage in the preparation of the SA which sets out the information that will be used to assess the sustainability of the plan.
Stage 1 of the consultation closed on 20 November 2015. We are currently reviewing the responses and working on the next stage of the plan.
