We offer over 700 part time courses in a wide range of subjects from Art to ICT to Childcare. Many of our courses lead to a recognised qualification.

Reduction in fees – who is it for?
Community Education Lewisham (CEL) has recently been told that some learners will qualify for reduced fees if they are looking for work and the course would help them find a job. The course could be learning English as another language (ESOL) or taking a childcare course. You do not need to be getting a job-related benefit to have this reduction in your fees.
We can offer you reduced fees if you are unemployed and:
get income support or
- get pension guarantee credit or
- if you don’t have a job and someone you depend on is getting any of these benefits.
- if you receive job seekers’ allowance, you should already be getting these fee reductions.

Our Extras brochure is now available online and through libraries and adult learning centres.
In Extras you will find short courses that could help you shake of the stress of the working week, try out something you have always wanted to learn (organic gardening perhaps?) or attend a session that will lead to a qualification such as first aid or food and hygiene.
