Over 150 new jobs will be created in Lewisham after the Council secured almost £1m funding from the Government’s Future Jobs Fund scheme.
For the first time, the people of Lewisham are being asked to nominate individuals for a ‘Make a Difference' award. These new awards have been created to celebrate the contribution that volunteers make in the borough.
The Mayor of Lewisham’s Business Awards, which recognise the achievements of local businesses, were launched on 18 November 2009.
