Lewisham schools are very popular and each year many receive more applications than they have places.
Applying for primary school: 2008/09 academic year
The closing date for applying for a reception class place for children born between 1 September 2003 and 31 August 2004 was 1 February 2008.
The results of applications received by the closing date were posted to parents on 1 May 2008.
If you applied on-line, the results of your application were availale on-line from 2 May 2008. Remember you will need your log-in details to access the information.
If you have missed the deadline, you can still apply, but your application will be considered after all those that were received on time.
If you moved into the borough after 1 September 2008 or did not make an application during the registration period you need to apply directly to local schools when they re-open on 2 September. You should telephone the Admissions Team to find out where there are vacancies as many Lewisham schools are now full.
Applications for primary places for older children are also to be made directly to schools.
Applying for primary school: 2009/10 academic year
Application packs will be available from all Lewisham primary schools from 3 November 2008 and must be returned before 30 January 2009.
