Apply for a licence for an HMO

​The online application form requires quite a lot of information, so make sure you have the following information to hand. You will need to create an online account if you don't already have one.

We will ask for information about:

  • the person or organisation making the application
  • the proposed licence holder (a person or organisation)
  • the property, including the number of rooms and facilities
  • the number of households and tenants you want the property to be licensed for.

We will need to see floor plans in advance of your inspection. A member of the licensing team will be in touch with you to discuss this.

On the day of the inspection of the proposed property please ensure you have the following documents available to show the inspector. 

  • tenancy agreements
  • up-to-date electrical, fire, gas safety, emergency lighting and portable electrical appliance certificates where applicable.

Payment

We will take a payment by credit or debit card on completion of the application form.
