Concessionary fees for adult education courses

You may be entitled to a concessionary or reduced fee if you fall into one of the following categories:

  • Unemployed, receiving benefits and looking for work
  • Learners on English and maths based programme
  • Aged 65 and over at the start of a course
  • Aged between 19 and 23 and studying for a level 2 certificate in childcare

You will need to provide evidence to show that you are eligible for concessionary fees. Our staff can advise as to what evidence is acceptable.

The following are qualifying benefits:

  • Jobseeker's allowance
  • Employment and support allowance
  • Universal credit

Additional support for courses leading to qualifications

If you are unable to access a course because you are on a low income, we may be able to provide extra financial help. Please ask our centre staff for more information when you’re enrolling.

We may also be able to give extra support by providing adapted equipment or software if you have a disability. Please contact us for more information
