This 10 week active retirement course introduces you to a wide range of different activities and interests through a programme of class based activities, including guest speakers and guided outings.

What prior knowledge, experience and qualifications will I need?
None - however you will need to be able to travel independently on public transport and be able to allow extra time when outings demand it.
Learning Goals:
To participate in visits and exhibitions. To participate in discussions on selected topics. To participate in classroom based activities. To record your progress on the course on an individual learning plan.
What teaching methods will the tutor use?
Group work, pair work, role play, practical worksheets, one to one support, listening, reading, speaking and writing exercises.
What assessment methods will the tutor use?
Initial assessment, individual learning plans, continuous assessment, informal feedback.
Will extra work be required outside the class times?
No - however, learners may prefer to prepare for visits or guest speakers with individual research
What materials will I need for the course and how much will they cost?
You will need to bring a notepad and pen
What do I need to bring to the first class?
You will need to bring along a notepad and pen. Folder for handouts (optional).
