Alternative provision for 14–19-year-olds

Local Further Education (FE) colleges offer programmes of learning for 14–16-year-olds. 
 

Each college offers a different learning route but most focus on core maths and English and a range of vocational options that offer strong progression at post–16. Learners will be directly recruited to the college and will no longer be on roll at their current education provider.

We have an Alternative Provision Quality Assurance framework and regularly visit alternative providers to ensure that all learners are safe and secure and that provision for our young people is effective.
