Growth programme for creative and digital businesses

​See how you could benefit from the £2million Dek Growth Programme, which helps develop creative and digital small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in the Lewisham borough.    

Who the programme is for

The programme is aimed at people in the borough who are setting up, or have recently launched, a new creative or digital business and employ less than 250 people.  

What the programme will cover

The project will help creative and digital SMEs in a range of areas including:  
  • start-up advice
  • diagnostics and support
  • mentoring and networking
  • innovation and culture change
  • creating and managing growth
  • product and service development.

Free masterclasses

Academics from Goldsmiths, University of London and London South Bank University will give free masterclasses on a number of topics, including the latest developments in artificial intelligence, virtual reality and other technical innovations that can support SMEs.  

Who is funding the programme

We are leading the three-year funded programme in collaboration with Goldsmiths, University of London, London South Bank University and London Small Business Centre/Nwes. We are also part-funding the programme with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).   



Creative enterprise zone for north Lewisham

In March 2018, we received £50,000 to develop a first stage action plan to support our bid for a creative enterprise zone in north Lewisham (New Cross and Deptford). A decision on our stage two funding bid to support the Lewisham North CEZ will be made in autumn 2018.



Local businesses recognised for their role in tackling obesity

Local businesses that have pledged their support for the Sugar Smart Lewisham campaign were praised at a celebration event held at the Civic Suite in Catford today, Thursday 15 November.
