Young voters elect a new Young Mayor

Laurelle Henry has been declared Lewisham’s 14th Young Mayor following an election that attracted a turnout of 54.64%.

What might stop you from pursuing a political career?

We are trying to find out what might stop people entering politics as councillors and, once elected, remaining in post or progressing.

New weekly food waste collection starting soon

The new service for thousands of residents will start from 2 October. They will also see their black rubbish bin collections move from weekly to fortnightly.
