Buildings in Beckenham Place Park

There are several historic buildings within Beckenham Place Park, which require significant investment to make full use of them once again.

The Mansion House

We are considering different uses and options for the Mansion House. In the longer term it will need to generate revenue for the park.

Foxgrove Club

The Foxgrove Club was a private social club until very recently. It is now being rented by property guardians while we explore other uses for this attractive building.

Do you know of a business or social enterprise that would like to rent this space? If so email bpp@lewisham.gov.uk so we can explore the possibility with you.

Gate houses

These are used as facilities for those who maintain the park.

Gardener’s cottage

If we secure the Heritage Lottery funding the derelict gardener’s cottage will be restored and become a base for volunteers.

Homesteads

The Homesteads were severely damaged by fire in 2011.

There are plans to use one of these blocks as a café, toilets and educational facility, if Heritage Lottery funds are secured.

What would you like to see in the other building? Are you a business or social enterprise interested in running the café?

If so email bpp@lewisham.gov.uk so we can explore the possibility with you.
