How to find People's Day

Find out how to get to People's Day festival.


There is no public car parking at People's Day and we suggest that you walk, cycle or use public transport if possible.

If you have a Blue Badge, you can access disabled parking from the Stainton Road entrance.


Bike racks are available at each park entrance – please bring your own lock.

Public transport


The nearest train stations to the festival are Hither Green, Catford and Catford Bridge.


The 202 and 660 go directly to Mountsfield Park, Brownhill Road.

The park is also in close walking distance of Catford and Hither Green. The following buses go to Catford: 47, 54, 75, 124, 136, 160, 171, 181, 185, 199, 202, 208, 284, 320, 336.

The 225, 181 and 272 go to Hither Green.

Fit bus transport to exercise for older people Free

Downham Health & Leisure Centre 
22 August 9am to 1pm

Our minibus is picking older, isolated people up from 'hubs' in the local community and take them to exercise sessions available in Downham, Whitefoot, Grove Park and Catford South.

Summer Holiday Football Course

Forster Memorial Park 
22 August 10am to 3pm

4–12 year olds can improve their skills on the football pitch with guidance from FA qualified coaches.

Carers Support Group (East Lewisham) Free

22 August 2pm to 4pm

Would you like to get out of the house and meet other carers in similar situations to your own? Would you like an opportunity to get information and support? This support group is open to all unpaid carers of any age or caring responsibility in Lewisham.
