Whitefoot Assembly fund 2018–19

The assembly fund is now open for applications from local groups and organisations.

Funding criteria

Your proposal should reflect one or more of our priorities:

  • Healthy living including fitness, wellbeing and mental health.
  • Creative arts – using art to bring Whitefoot residents together and foster a sense of community spirit, mutual understanding and respect.
  • Improved parks, play areas and green spaces – helping improve our local living environment, making Whitefoot a safer, cleaner and greener place to live, work, and learn.

We are also interested in exciting intergenerational projects and creating development opportunities for Whitefoot residents.

How much is available?

There is £12,500 available.

There is no cap on the amount you can apply for. If applying for more than £2,000 you will need to have conducted robust research and be able to:

  • evidence the need for your project
  • demonstrate it is a high value project that will have a greater impact on the ward.

How to apply

  • Download and complete the application form and send it to Ali.williams2@lewisham.gov.uk.
  • The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on Sunday 23 September 2018.

  • St. John’s Festival 2018
  • Goldsmith’s Little Rascals
  • Conisborough College rugby
  • Oldstead and Haddington tree restoration project
  • Jelly Babies massage and yoga
  • Mindfulness for carers

Events

Saturday Morning Football Club

Forster Memorial Park 
20 October 10am to 12 noon

Sports Fun 4 All provide a fun filled, inclusive environment for boys and girls of mixed abilities where they can learn the fundamentals of football focusing on passing and dribbling. All staff are FA qualified, First Aid, Safeguarding and DBS checked

Craft Club Free

Downham Library 
20 October 10.30AM to 12 noon

Create a new fun craft every week. For ages 5-12, no need to book.

Parties!

Downham Health & Leisure Centre 
20 October  12 noon to 1pm

There are lots of parties to choose from at the Centre. Parties include mermaid, pool inflatable, swimming party, bouncy castle. roller skating and much more!

Family Film Showing Free
