Evelyn Assembly fund 2018–19

The assembly fund is now open. Local groups can apply for up to £3,500.

Funding criteria

Your proposal should reflect one or more of our priorities.

Current priorities

  • Provision for young people and children
  • Provision for older people, people with disabilities and intergenerational activities
  • Skills development and access to local employment opportunities
  • Community support on antisocial behaviour, crime and drug issues
  • Housing issues / developments and improving the built environment
  • Community capacity building, cohesion and events

What can it be spent on?

The money could be used to:

  • start up a project
  • support a group to develop new activities
  • support a larger project that has secured funding from other sources.

How to apply

  • Read the information sheet below.
  • Download and complete the assembly fund 2018–19 application form and send it to sarah.lang@lewisham.gov.uk.
  • The deadline date for applications is Monday 1st October 2018 at 12 noon.
  • If you have any questions, email Sarah Lang or call her on 020 8314 6306.
  • If you are not part of an organisation and have not done this before, but have an idea for a project, then get in touch with Sarah and she will be happy to help.

How are projects selected for funding?

The coordinating group will meet after the closing date to discuss all the applications and decide the following:

  • Does the application meet one or more of the priorities?
  • Is it value money and are the costs reasonable?
  • Is there a need for this project?
  • Is the project delivered in an established partnership?

If your application is successful you will be invited to take part in a market place at an Evelyn Assembly event on Saturday 27th October, where residents can vote on which projects get the funding.
