Lewisham Plus Card

If you are over 60 or receiving certain benefits, you can apply for a Lewisham Plus Card.

With a Lewisham Plus Card you can enjoy 25% off the full adult price of many activities in any of the borough's leisure centres, parks or sites.

If you are 60 or over, or have a disability, many of these activities are free.

What you get with your Lewisham Plus Card

Card holders get 25% off these activities:

Free activities for people with disabilities or the over 60s

If you are over 60 and have a Lewisham Plus Card you are entitled to:

  • free swimming for over 60s with a library card
  • ree Aqua Fit classes for over 60s only, with a library card
  • free use of fitness studios
  • free use of Ladywell Arena athletics track.

Who is eligible for a Lewisham Plus Card

You can apply for a Lewisham Plus Card if you are aged 16 or over, live or study in the Lewisham borough, and are receiving one of the following benefits:

  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Incapacity Benefit
  • Council Tax Credit
  • Child Tax Credit
  • Housing Benefit
  • Income Support
  • Rent Allowance
  • Jobseeker's Allowance.

Please show evidence of the above at reception when applying.

You are also eligible for a Lewisham Plus Card if:

  • you care for an adult or child with a disability
  • you are over 60 - please show your freedom pass, your state pension, UK driving licence or passport
  • you are a student in full time education at a Lewisham school or college or are a Lewisham resident in full time education – please show your student ID
  • you are an asylum seeker – please show your ID card.

How to apply

You can apply for a Lewisham Plus Card in any Lewisham leisure centre or library.

The cost is £2 per year, or free if you are over 60. You will need a passport sized photograph as well as proof of your eligibility. You can also download an application form and return it to any leisure centre or library.


​What happens next

When you apply at your local leisure centre or library, you will be given a proof of purchase so you can start getting your discount straight away.

Your official card will be prepared within four weeks and you collect your card at the centre you applied at.

Can my children get a Lewisham Plus Card?

Children under the age of 16 do not qualify for the card.

I am a senior citizen. What concessions do I get with my Plus Card?
