Building projects – site inspections

It is your responsibility to ensure we inspect your building project at the relevant key stages.

Apply for full plans approval

You can apply for full plans approval for all commercial building work, all new buildings and some works to an existing property (for example, an extension or loft conversion).

Apply for regularisation

If you completed works without our approval, you need to apply for retrospective building control approval through a process called regularisation.

Building control approval

If you intend to build a new property or make changes to an existing property, you may need to apply for building control approval. This is completely separate to planning approval/permission.
