Our staff will deal with housing benefit claims over the phone or face-to-face. We no longer ask applicants to fill in a paper or online application form.
Anybody who is liable to pay rent can claim, as long as they are:
over 16 years of age
responsible for paying rent for where they live
receiving Income Support, Jobseekers Allowance (income-based), Pension Credit or living on a low income
and have savings of less than £16,000.
