Work to redevelop Forest Hill Pools is well underway and on target for completion in September 2012. The new facility will incorporate the former Victorian frontage, and will feature two swimming pools, a café and seating area, a health and fitness suite, two studios, a community room and exhibition space.

Forest Hill Pools facilities

The new Forest Hill Pools will include:

• a 25m length swimming pool
• a 16.7m length learner pool
• a state-of-the-art fitness suite
• two studios a café area
• a community room for hire
• spectator viewing and exhibition area

Willmott Dixon Construction Limited are working alongside Roberts Limbrick Architects and the leisure provider Fusion Lifestyle on this new facility, which will be fully accessible, including accessible parking for people with disabilities.

Bicycle and motorcycle parking, as well as a drop-off area for vehicles, will be available for general use.

A new public open space will be landscaped around the building and extended along Dartmouth Road.
