The Deptford town centre regeneration programme is a Council-led initiative which is transforming the area around Deptford High Street.
It was confirmed in January 2012 that Lewisham Council is in line to receive just over £1.5 million from the Mayor of London's Outer London Fund for the purpose of making physical improvements to Deptford High Street, including a focus on Deptford Market.
This money is still subject to contract and to the Council contributing approximately £600,000 in match funding. This would largely come from its capital programme, which is due to be reviewed by the Mayor at a meeting of Mayor & Cabinet in February 2012.
