About the Leemore Centre

The Leemore Centre is a  voluntary and community sector advice and information hub in the heart of Lewisham.

The following is available at the Leemore Centre:

  • access to information and advice
  • specialist support from trained advisors
  • day activities Monday to Friday for people with learning disabilities
  • WIFI and computer access.

The hub is a partnership between the council and the voluntary sector and its aim is to support vulnerable adults.

​The building is a welcoming public space with:

  • a small amount of hireable activity space
  • fully accessible, changing places, toilets.

Advice Lewisham

Advice Lewisham is a free and confidential advice line for support on things such as welfare, benefits and employment. It is a collaboration of a number of advice organisations and is the first point of access if you need support and information.

You can call the Advice Lewisham Advice Line for free on 0800 231 5453.

Advice Lewisham also hosts drop-in sessions at the Leemore Centre every weekday to give help with completing online claims, and guidance on where you can get the information they need on a range of different issues.

Facilities available to hire

  • Main hall (on the lower ground floor) – maximum capacity 50 (seated) and 80 (standing).
  • Activity rooms – available evenings and weekends – capacity 25 seating per room.

Public transport links

  • Bus – the centre is walking distance from the Lewisham town centre terminus, and is served by many buses, including the 75, 185, 199.
  • Train – the centre is walking distance from the Lewisham rail station.
  • DLR – the centre is walking distance from the Lewisham Docklands Light Railway station. 

There is no parking available at this site. There is on-street parking in the surrounding streets and a car park on Clarendon Rise which operates Pay & Display or Pay by Phone parking facilities. Get more information on car parks and street parking in Lewisham.

New-look youth service launches

Youth First, a social enterprise which is owned by its employees and the young people it serves, now runs youth services in Lewisham.

Libraries to loan 4G tablets

Lewisham residents will be the first in London able to borrow tablet computers from libraries, thanks to a £50,000 award from City Hall.
