Improve your fitness by taking part in conservation activities in nature reserves and parks in Lewisham. Nature's Gym is free and fun - and no experience is needed.
Sessions take place every Thursday, and once a month on a Saturday from 11am-2pm.
We invite people with a range of abilities, as there are usually a variety of tasks to carry out. We provide tools and refreshments and have a mid-session tea break. Come and see how you could become fitter and healthier by doing something positive for your local environment.
To get a taste of what the volunteers do, past projects and for more information, please visit the Nature Conservation blog.
Children under 16 are welcome but should be accompanied by an adult. Please come dressed for the weather.
Registration and code of conduct forms
Before joining a session please fill out all the details in the registration form and code of conduct and email them to:
naturesgym@lewisham.gov.uk
Alternatively, you can print them out and post them to

We operate a strict confidentiality policy and all information will be treated in confidence.
Please note: return of a completed registration form is considered an acknowledgement that you have fully understood the nature of the tasks involved and you are declaring yourself fit to undertake them and/or have sought medical advice as recommended in the registration form.
Tailored activities
We can also organise environmental activities and workdays tailored specifically for your organisation or community group (at sites such as Beckenham Place Park).
If you feel your group may be interested, please call Jessica on 020 8314 2119 or Glendale's conservation officer on 020 8318 3989.
