Lewisham Council has teamed up with RingGo, established providers of phone payment services, to bring a service for people parking in Lewisham town centre and Blackheath.
Instead of using coins in Council car parks or on the street pay and display bays, drivers can now also pay by debit or credit card over the phone.
Users of the service will have the advantage of topping up their parking time by mobile phone and getting text reminders of when their paid-for time is about to expire.

The scheme has launched in Lewisham town centre and Blackheath. Full details will be displayed on payment machines.
