Safer Lewisham

The issue of crime and anti-social behaviour is the single most important concern for the residents of Lewisham.

In partnership with all local public institutions, theA Street Warden with local children Council aims to work positively with residents, communities and other agencies. We aim to make the lives of all in our community free from crime and the fear of crime.

This is no simple undertaking – it requires the concerted efforts of the Police, the Council, the Probation service, the Courts, the Fire service, our health service partners, voluntary and community groups and, of course, members of the community itself.

Crime reduction

Our local crime reduction partnership – the Safer Lewisham Patnership – aims high.

We want our combined achievements to be measured by real results in reducing crime levels and by measured improvements in residents’ sense of community safety.

The commitment and targeting of resources, the skill and the knowledge of those within our crime fighting partnership and the efforts made to work alongside communities are key to achieving success.
