Mayor unveils future of adult education

Steve Bullock, Mayor of Lewisham, will be officially opening the borough’s brand new-state-of-the-art adult education facility.

The Granville Park Adult Learning Centre open day will take place on Monday July 17 from 12 - 8pm, and the official opening will take place at 2pm.

Steve Bullock, Mayor of Lewisham, said: 'The Granville Park Centre is a fantastic facility offering a wide range of courses under one roof. The building is testament to the council's commitment to adult education opportunities in the borough.'

The open day will give everyone the chance to find out about the huge range of learning opportunities being made available at the centre, and across the borough.

To mark the special day the Mayor will be presenting a commemorative plaque and there will be a musical demonstration of a new course: 'Learning Through Music in the Early Years'.

Visitors will be invited on a guided tour, be able to watch demonstrations by tutors, take home a prospectus for September's courses or even enrol on the day.

To request a prospectus of September's courses, call 0208 314 3300 or see what's on offer by visiting www.cel.lewisham.gov.uk.
