A section of Belmont Hill will be closed from 10am on Monday 24 July for the duration of the school holidays to facilitate the laying of Southern Gas Networks' new main and domestic connections.
The road will be closed between Lee Bridge and Belmont Grove, although access will be maintained for residents and businesses during the works as far as is practicable.
This is a continuation of the works in Lee High Road, which have been taking place over the last six weeks or so.
Diversion routes will be signed via Lee High Road and Lee Road, which is also the bus diversion route.
Clearly, there are going to be some delays in the area, particularly on the first couple of days, so please avoid the area if at all possible.
