You have until 13 March to register to vote in Lewisham’s local and Mayoral elections on 4 May.
So far 90 per cent of Lewisham’s residents who are eligible to vote have registered – you could miss out on having your say unless you act now.
Being a resident and paying council tax does not mean your name is included on the Electoral Register. You need to complete an application form by 13 March to enable you to vote on 4 May.
Follow the link on the right of this page to download an electoral registration form or call 020 8314 6086 to request one.
Lewisham Council’s chief executive Barry Quirk said: “This is your chance to be heard about local issues that concern you. Your vote can make a difference. But, in order to make your voice heard, you need to be registered. Remember if you have not registered you could lose your right to vote.”
In 2000 3.7m people in England and Wales, more than eight per cent of the eligible population, lost their vote because they were not registered.
