Get some fresh air...meet new people...get a bit more active
Walking is a great way to be more active and you can do it almost anytime and any place. Physical activity helps us feels happier and being in nature helps reduce stress.
Free walking groups, led by trained walk leaders, take place each week across the borough.
The walks are 30 – 45 minutes long and end with a cup of tea and a chat if we can. They are aimed at people who do not do much physical activity but open to all. There is good accessibility as the walks are held in parks and paved open spaces.
