About Downham Health and Leisure Centre
This exciting facility is a model for community health, leisure and well-being provision. It is situated off Moorside Road on the site of the former Downham baths and library buildings.
In addition to on site facilities, the refurbishment of Downham Playing Fields has been completed including:
- upgraded open sports pitch areas
- new changing rooms, pavilion and rangers office
- a sculptured informal park area with a stream and footbridge.
The refurbished playing fields and pavilion were opened by Steve Bullock, Mayor of Lewisham, on 15 September 2006.
