(born c. 1700 - died after 1717)
Local connection
Both were baptised at St Mary’s church, Lewisham.
Biography
Anne and Charles were baptised on the same day, 5 November 1717.
They were both described as 'black adult moor’, but only Charles had a surname, 'Nevis’, possibly suggesting he originated from the West Indian Island that bears the same name.
Neither are identified as a servant or `belonging’ to anyone and other than being adults we do not know their age. We can also only guess about Charles' origins and what their relationship might be, if any.
