Starting family history

If you are just beginning to trace your family history, you will find it helpful to read one of the many books on the subject, some of which are available at the local studies centre. You should also be able to obtain them through your local library. You would also find it helpful to join a family history society – this area is covered by the website of the North West Kent Family History Society.
