Manor House library

Following its renovation, this much loved Georgian building re-opened to the public on Tuesday 5 May 2009 to offer modern library services open seven days a week.

This Grade II listed building is set in an award-winning park.

We have a children’s centre with soft play facilities. A range of performance and meeting spaces are available for hire.

 Thursday  9am - 7pm
 Friday  9am - 7pm
 Saturday  9am - 6pm
 Sunday  10am -4pm

Access

Off-street car parking can be arranged for Blue Badge holders. Full disabled access. Lift to all floors.

Library materials available for loan or hire

  • Books, including a convenient quick choice selection
  • Large print books and talking books
  • Music CDs and film DVDs.

Reference and information

  • Leaflets, newspapers and magazines
  • Free enquiry service, including book searches and local information.

IT services

  • Free public terminals managed via computerised booking system with access to the internet, MS Office software and subscriptions to many electronic information resources (notably Credo Reference).
  • Computer terminals in the adult, teen and children’s library areas.
  • Wi-fi access for laptop users.

Activities and reading promotions

Year round – including:

  • weekly Baby Bounce and under 5s storytime sessions
  • monthly adult reading group and Chatterbooks for children
  • weekly film screenings.
