Forest Hill library

Forest Hill library has reopened. The library has been given a significant upgrade that will provide a better service for the residents of Forest Hill in a much better library building.

IT services

12 free public terminals managed via computerised booking system with access to the internet, MS Office software installed and electronic information resources (notably Credo Reference) subscribed to by the library service. Small ICT suite also hosts tutored ICT courses including family learning sessions. PC with educational CD-Roms in children's library.

Activities and reading promotions

Year round – including weekly under-fives storytimes, monthly adult reading group and monthly session for Over 55s.

Facilities available

The library now has a lounge area with sofas and easy chairs, vending machines, three 52" Plasma screens, an X Box and Playstation 3, DVDs, self issue machines, a buggy park and wheelchair park, lots of great new stock and improved IT facilities.
