The six book challenge is aimed at adults who are new to reading and would like to build up their literacy skills. It invites adults to read six library books of their choice and the record their reading in a diary. The challenge ran from January 2008 until the end of May. Those who completed it received a certificate and entered a national prize draw. The challenge will run again in 2009, so check the Six Book Challenge website (a link to which is on the right) for details.
What to do next
If you come into any of the Lewisham libraries we will show you the collections of books that are aimed at adults who are just getting into reading, either for pleasure, for language skills, or for academic purposes.
