Public delight as Forest Hill Library re-opens
Over 2,500 visitors came into Forest Hill Library in its first week back in business and left impressed with the retention and embellishment of beautiful features from the original 1901 building as well as the introduction of many new 21st century features.
The library now has a lounge area with sofas and easy chairs, vending machines, three 52" Plasma screens, an X Box and Playstation 3, DVDs, self issue machines, a buggy park and wheelchair park, lots of great new stock and improved IT facilities.
Feedback so far has been very positive with visitors leaving written comments such as:

- 'It is great to see the Library looking so good outside and in';
'Nice to have our Library back. It's light, bright and airy with good disabled access. It's also fantastic to see kids literally running to get into a Library';
