Frankham Street mural competition

As part of the regeneration work in Deptford, Frankham Street was recently transformed into a tree-lined parking boulevard. To add the finishing touch to this work, a mural will be created to run across the back of the shops at the High Street end of Frankham Street.

Royal George wins the mural competition
We put together a shortlist of four murals which celebrate Deptford’s rich maritime past, and invited members of the public to vote for their favourite. View the winning design.

The maritime theme was adopted on the basis of comments from residents during the consultation work we have done on Deptford's regeneration. The local community pointed to a need to celebrate Deptford's history and the mural offers a fitting way of celebrating Deptford's rich maritime history. All the images were provided by the National Maritime Museum.

The chosen image will be placed onto a timber hoarding using dibond graphics. This will give a high quality smooth and durable finish.
