Deptford/New Cross

Anchor and Chain – no known provenance but thought to reflect the area’s shipbuilding history.

Will Alsop's Ben Pimlott Building, Goldsmiths College – The unmistakeable metal ‘scribble’ wraps around the exterior terrace exhibition space as part of the college’s £10m arts complex.

Circumsphere – The artist behind Lewisham Hospital's Blue Well, works on a site specific basis. Having absorbed, researched, measured, and assimilated the space, Marshall built this architecturally inspired work.

Creekside Gates – commissioned by the Creekside Education Trust, these intricately designed stainless steel gates welcome visitors to the ecological and environmentally friendly centre with entwined images of local flora and fauna.

Deptford Marbles is the latest work by Artmongers; a trompe d’oeil wall with the effect of lightening and opening out the surrounding area.

Feed the Cows – designed to promote recycling in the borough and to turn the humble dustbin into a work of art, these Friesian cow bins have now been commissioned by other boroughs across the capital.

Hands Hoarding – A colourful and vibrant photographic record of the hands of the local community from builders to school children.

His n Hers is a seminal piece of work from local artist/activists Patricio Forrester and Artmongers. Its strikingly humorous appropriation of the side of a Deptford High Street shop was commissioned by Deptford X festival in 2002.

Love Over Gold – Developed with nine local primary schools on the theme of 'Love over Gold', the mural depicts local urban landscapes peopled with children and adults and their musings on their environment.
