The current Arts Service grant schemes are listed below. Before submitting an application you should read the guidance notes carefully and contact us if you have any queries.
One Lewisham fund
The One Lewisham fund has been launched to support activities that celebrate, respect and promote the diverse range of identities, lifestyles, histories, experiences, cultures and beliefs within the Borough. Projects funded will be those that contribute to a more inclusive, tolerant and cohesive Lewisham.
The fund replaces the existing schemes for Black History Month, Irish Festival, Women's Week, Pensioners' Day, Chinese New Year, Lewisham Pride, Disability Day and Refugee Week.
Up to £5000 is available. The next deadline is 7 November 2008.
Collaboration fund
The Collaboration fund is open to partnerships of two or more organisations running creative activities that will take place in Lewisham. The upper limit for any award is £5000 per year. There is one round each year.
The lead organisation must be a voluntary sector arts organisation. The fund will support arts activities in any genre that take place before 2 March the following year. Capacity building can form part of the application but must be linked to a programme of arts activity. Proposals must demonstrate how the project will meet one or more of the Arts Service's strategic priorities. If successful you can apply to continue projects up to a maximum of three consecutive years. The application form for the next round will be available from January 2009 with a closing date in April 2009.
Small Grant Scheme
Applications are invited from not-for-profit groups and organisations running arts projects taking place in the Borough of Lewisham and for the benefit of Lewisham residents. Maximum grant award is £750. The closing date for the next round is Friday 5 December 2008.
Production fund
The Lewisham Film Initiative production fund supports projects that demonstrate original approaches to film making in any genre / medium.
