Leisure and culture

Welcome to Lewisham Council's cultural services homepage which provides information about local arts, sports, libraries and leisure opportunities.

Leisure and culture

in British Sign Language
The borough has a rich and diverse cultural life and is home to some of the capital's most exciting and innovative organisations, including the award winning Laban Contemporary Dance Conservatoire, the Deptford Albany and the Horniman Museum. Over 2,000 artists and 550 creative industries are based in Lewisham and the numbers are growing all the time.

In addition, we have rapidly improving sports and leisure facilities, with proposals for four new or refurbished swimming pools and the borough's library service seeing significant investment.
