For carers of friends or relatives with a mental health problem. The meetings give carers an opportunity to share experiences and get support from other carers and learn from speakers in a friendly and informal atmosphere.

Lewisham Mental Health Foundation
The Foundation is a network open to all mental health agencies, including user, voluntary and statutory organisations in Lewisham. It promotes advocacy, user involvement empowerment and choice, and seeks to influence and inform the public on mental health issues. It provides a forum to ensure that practical support is given to develop user-focused projects and other initiatives within Lewisham Users (MH) Forum and other relevant agencies.
ISIS
ISIS offers support for people of African and African-Caribbean descent who live in Lewisham and are experiencing or have experienced mental health difficulties. Services include individual and group support, advocacy, counselling, recreational activities, training, awareness and advice on issues that affect the mental well-being of African and African-Caribbean people.

Alzheimer's Society
The Lewisham and Greenwich Branch of the Alzheimer’s Society supports people with dementia and their carers by providing information, advice and a listening ear. It works with other organisations to ensure that appropriate services and resources exist and are accessible.
As well as operating a Helpline, the Society organises monthly carers support group meetings and bimonthly social meetings and produces a monthly newsletter. It has information on all types of dementia and has a national support network for people with CJD and young onset dementia.

PLUS (Providence Link United Services)
PLUS (Providence Link United Services) provides support for older people and black and minority ethnic elders and their carers who are disadvantaged by mental illness. User led workshops and forums are provided by a qualified artist tutor, using art therapy to enable older people with mental health needs to express needs and engage in decision making.
