Young people's plan

Lewisham's Young people's substance misuse plan sets out actions and objectives to help young people resist drug misuse in order to achieve their full potential in society.

There are five key elements to the young people's plan. These are:

• substance misuse education in all primary and secondary schools
• awareness raising amongst young people and families
• prevention, education and diversionary programmes for all young people identified as being at risk of becoming drug users
• treatment and support for young people with substance misuse problems
• partnership working to enable a co-ordinated approach including information sharing and data collection between agencies.
