We can deliver meals to older or vulnerable people in their own homes on a short or long term basis.
What type of meals do we deliver?
We can provide meals that meet all dietary needs, such as:
- vegetarian
- African Caribbean
- halal
- kosher.
Meals are usually delivered chilled or frozen. This means that you can reheat the meal at a suitable time for you. We will check that you are able to reheat the meal. If you are unable to reheat it, a hot meal will be delivered.
When can a meal be delivered?
The hot meals service operates every day of the year.
How much will I have to pay?
The standard price of meals is £2.63.
Our standards
We aim to provide you with good quality food and to deliver it to you at the correct temperature (either chilled, frozen or hot).
If your meal is unsatisfactory in any way, we will refund your payment.
Our recommendation
If your meal is supplied hot, we recommend that you should eat it as soon as it is delivered for best quality and safety. No part of a hot delivered (or a chilled/frozen meal after it has been reheated) should ever be saved for later in the day.
Who is eligible
Older or vulnerable people.
