Supported lodgings

What is supported lodgings?

Supported lodgings is an accommodation project for young people leaving care, aged 16-21, many of whom have lived in foster care or residential care and are not yet ready to live on their own. The aim of the project is to offer young people the opportunity to live in the home of an approved person, known as a supported lodgings provider, who will help them prepare for independent living. This should be a safe and supportive environment where a young person can develop the practical skills and emotional maturity to move on and cope with living independently.

Supported lodgings providers: what we are looking for

We are looking to recruit people who live in the borough of Lewisham, who have a spare room in their home, a positive attitude towards young people and a commitment to helping a young person become more independent. In return supported lodgings providers will receive a weekly fee, plus training and support.

If you are interested in becoming a supported lodgings provider or for more information about the project please contact:
