Carers Lewisham provides advice, information and support to anyone who has caring responsibilities in the borough of Lewisham. Referral form is attached to the carers assessment of need. Services and support include:
- comprehensive information pack for all carers
- newsletter to over 4000 carers
- advice and information including advocacy and financial benefits – will visit to help complete benefits forms
- counselling for carers
- support groups and courses
- consultation group
- employment and training advice
- range of breaks services.
Crossroads – sitting service for carers

Crossroads run a sitting service for carers for up to 4 hours a week, self referral and referrals from social work teams.

Referrals can be made by any source to this service which offers:
- benefits advice for people with disabilities and their carers
- help with forms including home visits.

Generic counselling is offered to all ages including children and young people.
